“Dignity in the Spotlight” - the H4P Organization’s Prestigious C.H.I.L. Awards 2026 Marks 15 Years of Transformational Advocacy for Persons with Disability

The Labadi Beach Hotel glowed with purpose on the night of the 2026 Prestigious Christina Hackman Impact Leadership (C.H.I.L.) Awards—a ceremony that became far more than an annual gathering. For Ghana’s disability community, it was a moment of deep recognition, a moment when long-silenced stories rose to the surface with power and pride. In that ballroom, framed by soft lights and vibrant African elegance, dignity was not merely acknowledged—it was placed boldly in the spotlight.

From the moment attendees entered, the atmosphere carried a profound symbolism. Guide canes, wheelchairs, prosthetics and glamorous outfits blended seamlessly, reflecting a truth H4P has championed for fifteen years: disability does not diminish beauty, strength or leadership. And on this night, every detail—from the décor to the music—honoured that conviction.

The C.H.I.L. Awards represent the peak expression of an H4P movement that has grown into a national force. What began as The Helping Hand TV Show has expanded into a full-scale advocacy engine—shaping public dialogue, influencing policy, driving community projects and creating a rare space that celebrates Persons with Disabilities before the nation. The H4P Organization at 15 years stands today not only as an anniversary but as evidence of a sustained, strategic transformation.

This year’s competition drew nominations from across the nation, making it one of the most competitive editions yet.
